Pencil Bundle: An Ensemble for Musicians

Whether creating musical scores in the studio or in the orchestra-pit, this set will give you solid dark lines that aren’t too reflective and will erase relatively easily. We’ve added in a couple of eraser caps to help you make corrections on the fly and a bicolour pencil to add marks that need to stand out.

Photos are often taken of multiple pencils, however all pencils are sold individually unless specifically stated otherwise.

1 × Blackwing 602 - Single
The Blackwing 602 is the original Blackwing dating back to 1934.  Featuring a firm and smooth graphite core that helps it deliver on its promise of “Half the Pressure, Twice the Speed”. Blackwing 602 pencils feature a gunmetal grey finish and iconic square Blackwing ferrule with a pink eraser.  Note that Blackwing pencils are longer than most pencils, at around 20cm. Blackwing is an American brand under Palomino.  The pencils are made with Japanese graphite and Californian cedar.

1 × Camel Natural HB - Grey Eraser
The Camel natural pencil has become quite an icon in design and use.  The attachment on the end of the pencil is indeed an eraser, which works surprisingly well and doesn't seem to come loose or fall off.  The HB core writes with a smooth, dark line. Established in 1949, Camel is one of several remaining pencil manufacturers in Japan. They’re known for their unique eraser design, which features on many of their writing pencils. 1 × Caran d'Ache Grafwood HB
The Grafwood is Caran d'Ache's premium drawing pencil range, available in 15 different grades of graphite from 9B to 4H.  It's possibly one of the most beautifully designed pencils on the market, with each pencil's paint coloured to represent the grade of graphite.  The Grafwood is slightly thicker than normal pencils, and has a thicker core.  This pencil is great for writing as much as it is for drawing. Note: Due to this pencils slightly larger diameter, it will not fit in some regular sharpeners.  It will not fit in the Kum Single Hole Longpoint, however it will fit in the Kum Glass Bottle Sharpener. Established in Geneva in 1915, Caran d’Ache is a privately owned family company, making pencils to the high Swiss standard. Considered somewhat of a luxury brand, they are known for creating the first water-soluble pencils and inventing the clutch pencil. Made in Switzerland. writing sample

1 × General's Test Scoring 580
The 'Original' Test Scoring pencil features a soft black reflective graphite that was originally designed for "Scantron" testing. Test Scoring pencils are very popular with avid crossword puzzle enthusiasts because of the dark line they make.  The highly popular IBM Electrographic pencil was originally made by General, so if you've always wanted to try the IBM then this is the pencil could be considered comparable. The General Pencil Company has been in operation since 1889 and has remained family owned and operated across six generations.  Currently it is one of the last pencil factories in the USA, operating in New Jersey. 1 × Koh-i-Noor Jumbo Red-Blue Bicolour
This 9mm jumbo pencil has a core split between red and blue, making it great for corrections and marking.  It's jumbo size make it stand out from other bicolour pencils. One of the oldest stationery companies in the world, Koh-i-Noor was established in the Czech Republic in 1790. The name Koh-i-Noor comes from the name of one of the world’s largest cut diamonds, which is part of the British crown jewels. Made in Czech Republic. writing sample

1 × Mitsubishi Penmanship Triangular 4B
These Mitsubishi Penmanship pencils are intended for 'Kohitsu Shosha' - practising Chinese calligraphy.  They're dark, soft, brush-like, and have a wide core.  While not ideal for everyday writing given their softness, these pencils certainly have their fans for drawing, hand lettering, calligraphy, or just to write with something a bit special. Unrelated to the car company, Mitsubishi Pencil Company was founded in Japan in 1887 and is considered one of the leading manufacturers of pencils still operating in Japan. Today they are also well known for their Uni-ball brand of products. Made in Japan. writing sample

1 × Papermate Arrowhead Pink Pearl End Cap Eraser
This classic pink eraser is tough and effective at removing marks with minimal fuss.  Fits snugly on to the end of your pencil. Created in 1940 as The Frawley Pen Company, Papermate is now a part of Newell Brands, a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ. Made in China.

1 × Pentel Hi-Polymer End Cap Eraser
This extremely popular and highly effective eraser leaves minimal debris and is less likely to tear through your paper as they require minimal pressure to lift marks.  Fits snugly on to the end of your pencil. Founded in 1946, Pentel is considered to have invented the felt-tip pen in 1963. Pentel is still a privately held company in Japan, however no longer manufacture wooden pencils. Made in China.
