Kitaboshi Beginning Pencil 10B

The Kitaboshi Beginning Pencil has an extremely soft 10B lead, making it easy to make a line and create shades.  It’s designed for children who are just learning to write, but is also great for lettering and calligraphy.  The pencil features a beautiful half-painted half-natural barrel, and a clear plastic protective cap.

Founded in 1913 and located in Katsushika, Japan, Kitaboshi is a small family-owned pencil company. The founder of Kitaboshi is famously quoted to have said “A pencil sacrifices itself to serve people. Both humans and pencils need cores.”
