Viarco Copia Violeta Copying Pencil

$3.00

Quite possibly the only copying pencils still in production – the Viarco Copia Violeta Duro (Violet Permanent Copying).  Copying pencils were used prior to commercial photocopiers to make an imprint of a written page.  These pencils are water-soluble, which dry permanently after being wet.  A written page could be transferred to another paper when wet, making a true and permanent copy.

The brand Viarco was registered in Portugal in 1936, however pencil production in the country dates back to 1907. Along with pencils, Viarco produce the high quality ArtGraf artist products along with various design accessories. See inside the Viarco factory here.
