The Exotic Pencils of Caran d’Ache #9. These beautiful pencils are made with wood reconstituted from Poplar and Ayous, selected to meet strict quality criteria. The pencils are scented in collaboration with Mizensir, the Swiss fragrance experts – the scent is based on the ‘Alps Spirit’ including patchouli essences combined with cetalox, nutmeg and hints of orange. All 4 pencils are HB and manufactured from 100% natural products.
Established in Geneva in 1915, Caran d’Ache is a privately owned family company, making pencils to the high Swiss standard. Considered somewhat of a luxury brand, they are known for creating the first water-soluble pencils and inventing the clutch pencil.
